Lake Shore Logistics corporate office is based out of North East, PA. We are a growing organization looking to find talent to join our logistics, and transportation team as a Logistics Manager! Responsibilities as a Logistics Manager

• Secure freight of all kinds and all equipment types for direct customers
• Lead and manage a team of Logistics Specialists
• Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints      and resolving problems
• Develop and maintain an extensive shipper network to support partner carriers
• Producing rate quotes and making bids
• Service customer’s needs and improve transportation efficiencies for them
• Seek new business and grow current book of business
• Use technology to increase productivity and create new solutions

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior experience in a Leadership/Management role required
• Prior experience in the transportation industry required
• Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment required
• Strong customer service and follow-through
• Strong communication, negotiating, and math skills
• Strong computer knowledge is a must
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking required
• Works well in a team environment
